FAQ
What form of payment do you accept?
Venmo, PayPal, direct deposit, cash or check. We are unable to accept credit cards and apologize for any inconvenience. If you are writing a personal check, you are responsible for any fees for bounced checks or insufficient funds.
How long will it take to complete my project?
The turn-around time varies based on the type and amount of work we are doing. At the start of the project we will communicate about all deadlines to ensure they are met. We will respond to all correspondence within 1-3 business days at most (and usually much, much sooner than that). We respectfully ask that you also maintain a level of responsiveness so that nothing is left until the last minute.
How can I contact you?
Email is the best form of correspondence. You can email us at info@emulsifydesing.com
I need something designed yesterday, can you help me?
We will try my best to accommodate “emergencies” but cannot promise. We are a small team, so depending on present deadlines for other clients, and whether we have immediate access to our office, we may or may not be able to accommodate rush jobs. Rush jobs typically involve a fee for expediting, but as always you will be informed and need to sign off on all costs before we start working.
Will you design for me for free? I have lots of followers and it will be good exposure!
No, please respect that this is our job and not a hobby. We are willing to work for goods/services exchange or work for reduced rates depending on who you are and what work you are doing. Please be transparent with me and we will do our best to work with you.
This seems expensive, why would I pay you this much when I can just use one of those design websites?
For certain people, businesses, and budgets, those websites do make more sense and I respect if that is the right decision for your design needs. Just like for some businesses with extensive design needs, a salaried in-house designer makes more sense. If you choose to work with me, you are getting a one-on-one relationship with 100% customized design using the most advanced technology, no templates, and no corporate red tape for just a fraction of the cost of an in-house designer salary.
Can I have the design files for flyers/posters/business cards etc. so I can edit the location/date/name myself?
In short, no. Unless you are requesting a template design, each job is uniquely and intentionally designed for a specific need. Seemingly small edits on an otherwise identical poster are not as simple as backspacing a word and typing a different one. Margins, alignments, composition, and a million other aspects can need adjustment just for a single letter change. This policy is to ensure continuity and the highest quality of each and every design you purchase, as well as to protect the integrity of our work.
But I have a new event every week and want to use the same poster, do I really have to pay you every single time just to change the date and time?
As described above, it can be more work than you might think to edit a design. We will only charge you for the time we spend working on those edits, so if you’ve already paid for the base design you will not be charged for that again. We understand that budgets can be tight and can assure you we will work with you to keep costs limited. If you have small reoccurring changes you need to make to a design, talk to us about it and we can work something out. Maybe you are looking for a template design instead of a single design.
